Follow these instructions if having a note taker is included in your Letter of Reasonable Accommodations.
- As a student, you may know or observe someone in your class who takes comprehensive notes. Ask if s/he is willing to serve as note taker and if so, give them a copy of the Note Taker Directions, which you will find below.
- If you are unable to secure a volunteer, give your professor a copy of the Note Taker Directions. Once a volunteer has been identified, your professor will give that student the Note Taker Directions and inform you of their name and email address.
- Complete a Note Taker Form online HERE.
- Attend class and complete all assigned work. Note-takers are not a substitute for attendance.
- Take your own notes and use the notes from the note taker to supplement yours. They are not to be shared with anyone.
- Direct all questions about the course toward the professor and not the note taker.
- The Coordinator will confirm with you at end of the course that note taking has been completed successfully.
