ISTE STANDARDS FOR TEACHERS

Effective teachers model and apply the ISTE Standards for Students (Standards•S) as they design, implement, and assess learning experiences to engage students and improve learning; enrich professional practice; and provide positive models for students, colleagues, and the community. All teachers should meet the following standards and performance indicators.

Overview of Preservice Technology in COE

EDUC3311 is an analysis of content, strategies, and evaluation for integrating technology into school curricula. It includes using word processing, spreadsheets, databases, communication, and presentation software. This course is designed to address practical, real-world, useful information and strategies for technology integration into instructional practice. This course is not designed to teach candidates how to use basic technologies, but rather how to apply them to their teaching practice, and explore/learn more advanced technologies.

Candidates describe and demonstrate their use of technology in both EDUC 3309 and their student teaching course 449X.
