Discipline

Kids (Lg.)

Behavior is one of the most important elements of the school day.  If
behavior is out of control, then learning is not possible.
If the student chooses to disregard the classroom code of conduct, he/she will face the following
consequences:
First Disruption: Warning
Second Disruption: Loss of Privileges / Time Out
Third Disruption: Miss Snack Recess
Fourth Disruption: Miss Lunch Recess/ Miss Lunch; Phone Call home/ Note in the Planner; and
reflection note send home.
At this point the teacher will enter a check mark in the Student Performance Chart and enter a
remark about the nature of misconduct and date and initial it.
To keep track of the disruptions and to give the students a visual sense of their behavior in class,
the color card system (check mark system for floating teachers) will be used in class.
the students will start fresh with Green cards.
First disruption: Green card remains the same (first check on the board) and a verbal
warning is given.
Second disruption: Yellow card (second check) and consequence
Third disruption: Orange card (third check) and consequence
Fourth disruption: Red card (fourth check) and consequence
NOTICE that the discipline rules are for all day and all other subjects as well.

Students will have a party, after they fill in the jar with marbles. ( Teacher will write on the board the word RESPECT, every time the class make a bad choice a letter will be erased. Marbles will be placed in the jar at the end of each period by all the teachers) This methods is to encourage our students to behave during the class session and motivate them through out the year.
