Lasisi Ajayi joined San Diego State University in 2006 after several years of teaching at National University, Los Angeles Center; California State University, Dominguez Hills, Carson; Obafemi Awolowo University, and Saint Andrew College of Education, Oyo, Nigeria.
Ajayi has published numerous articles in reputable journals such as: Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, Teacher Education Quarterly, Foreign Language Annals, Educational Technology & Society, Race, Ethnicity & Education, The Teacher Educator, Journal of Language, Identity, & Education. Also, his book publications include Literacy and SDAIE Instruction: Practice Activities for Pre-Service Teachers and chapters in Language, Literacy, and Academic Development for English Language Learners; Perspectives on Applied Linguistics in Language and Literature; Needs Analysis of Communication Skills in Nigerian Universities: A Source Book. In addition, he serves as an Executive Peer-Reviewer for Educational Technology and Society journal.
