General Questions

I cannot find my evaluator. How do I submit my work to him/her?

Upon attempting to submit your work in Taskstream, you will be prompted to select an evaluator. Please read the directions of your assignment (which are provided in the submission area of the assignment in Taskstream) to be sure you are submitting to the correct evaluator.

If your evaluator is not available in the selection of possible evaluators, please email soetaskstream@apu.edu to notify us of the error. We will be able to add your evaluator so that you can properly submit your work. Please do not submit your work to an evaluator that is not listed in your directions.

I have changed my program and require a new DRF. Do I need to resubmit my work?

If you have decided to change your program, please be sure to contact your department to request documents for the Change of Program process. You will be assisted through the process, and advised on your coursework.

A change of program typically requires a new DRF (directed response folio) so that you can submit the proper work for your new program. Please email soetaskstream@apu.edu once your Change of Program status has been approved by the Graduate and Professional Center. Upon receiving your new DRF, please use this DRF from this point forward in your program; moreover, you DO NOT need to resubmit any previously submitted items to this new DRF.

How do I view previous work that is in a program DRF that has been made inactive?

You can view your previously submitted and evaluated work by logging into Taskstream, and clicking on the Folios and Webpages tab on the top bar.

Scroll to the far right of the page and find the grey button labeled, "Access Inactive Programs."  Here you should find any inactive DRFs, and you should be able to view and even download your previously submitted and graded work.

For additional assistance, please see the tutorial below called "How to View Inactive Programs."

Taskstream says my account has expired. How do I reactivate my subscription?

If you find that your account is inactive at any point during your program, please email soetaskstream@apu.edu.

I am missing the correct submission area for my assignment. How do I find it?

If you are enrolled in the correct Program DRF (directed response folio), then your assignment should be listed in the left menu bar of the DRF. Please be sure to scroll all the way through the submission areas in the left menu bar to make sure you didn't miss the area for your assignment. Additionally, if you are unable to locate it, please select "Ctrl" key and "F" key at the same time to prompt the search function, and type in the course number (e.g. EDUC 572, TESP 515, etc.). This should highlight the submission area for you.

It is possible that you are enrolled in the incorrect Program DRF (directed response folio) in Taskstream. If you think this may be the case, or if you are unable to find your assignment submission area with the above instructions, please email soetaskstream@apu.edu for assistance.

Why won't my video submission upload?

In order to upload your video to Taskstream, you will need to compress it to a file size of 500 mb or less. Below please find general information regarding the elements that determine video file size and tips to reduce it.

Also, attached to this email please find guides for various video editing software that may be included with your computer’s Operating System or that are available for free download that may assist you with video file compression.

Tips to reduce video file size (using video editing software):

  • Change the resolution: 320x240 and 640x480 are common resolution settings for uploading video to the web.
  • Change the frame rate (number of frames per second) – lowering the frame rate will reduce the size of the file. Please note this can reduce video quality if overused.
