How do I see my candidate's ePortfolio?

Your candidate(s) should send you the link to their ePortfolio in an email before the first observation.  Keep this link so you may view the portfolio at any time.  You are responsible for officially evaluating the portfolio after CP 2, when the candidate submits the link in Taskstream to you.  (See template links below for each program CP portfolio template.)

I don't know which DRF my student is in. How do I find his/her work to evaluate?

As the School of Education offers numerous and various programs in each of our departments, we must have a large number of DRFs to accomodate for our students' needs. We have sought to consolidate the DRFs as much as possible; however, please know that the students under your mentorship may represent 5 or more different programs - that is why you see so many DRFs on your home page.

This is why we recommend NOT clicking into each individual DRF to evaluate work. Instead, please use the following instructions to see ALL evaluations submitted to you:

Please log in to Taskstream, and, from the home page, click on the "Evaluator" Tab. Then click, the button labeled, "Evaluation Required." On the next page, please be sure all available program DRF check boxes are selected by clicking on them, and then Click "Continue."

All evaluations submitted to you should be visible in a grid. If you can also view evaluations submitted to other evaluators, please feel free to sort by "Work Submitted To" to find work submitted to you. Please only view and evaluate work that has been submitted to you as the evaluator.
If you find that there is work submitted to you incorrectly, please send the assignment back to the student by using the following instructions:
From the evaluation grid, click evaluate to go into the submitted item as though you were going to complete the evaluation.  However, instead of clicking on the blue "Score Work" button, you will click on the white "Send Back to Author" button.  Please provide a note to the student informing him or her that the item was submitted to the incorrect evaluator and requesting that they resubmit it to the correct evaluator per the instructions provided for the assignment.

What is a reflection exemplar?

Reflections can be turned in to you electronically (emailing a document) or hard copy.   It is the candidate's responsibility to upload one of those reflections in their ePortfolio (electronic or scanned hard copy) as an example of what they have been doing throughout clinical practice.  If scanning is an issue, there is a smart phone app called "TurboScan" that allows their phone to become a scanner.

Who is responsible to upload the mentor observations in Taskstream?

It is the candidate's responsibility to upload all candidate observation reports in their ePortfolio.  Please email or hand the form to the candidate after each observation.

How do I complete the quantitative/qualitative evaluation for my candidate(s)?

You will be using your Taskstream account to complete this evaluation.  The candidate will submit a request in the Quantitative/Qualitative Evaluation placeholders in their program DRF to you.  When you click on "Evaluate/Score Work", the evaluation form will appear as the evaluation method.

How are signatures obtained verifying an evaluation meeting with master teacher?

The candidate is to secure a copy of the master teacher or site administrator's quantitative/qualitative evaluation with their signature and the candidate's signature. This must be scanned and uploaded in the Evaluation by Site placeholder in their Taskstream Program DRF.
