My name is Alexa Badalamenti. I currently attend Loyola Universtiy Chicago, and am expecting a BS in Bioinformatics in May 2017. I am very passionate about science and technological advancements in medicine, with my focus being genetics. I look forward to participating in genetic research, and hope to pursue a Graduate degree in Genetic Counseling.

I have a deep appreciation for the arts, having a personal love for music, dance, and theater. I view science as an additional creative outlet, allowing for my passions in two different fields to align.

Originating from Portage, Michigan, I graduated from Portage Northern High School in May 2013. My family is the most important aspect of my life, and I admire and love them immensely. In my free time, I greatly enjoy musical theater, staying up-to-date on social media and current events, and spending time exploring the great city of Chicago.
