After 35 years, I retired from teaching in the state of Illinois in June of 2010 making stops at Donovan Junior/Senior High School in Donovan, Illinois, at Herscher/Bonfield Grade Schools in Herscher and Bonfield, Illinois and at Walter R. Sundling Junior High School in Palatine, Illinois. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio and Television from Illinois State University, a Masters of Science degree in Instructional Media from Eastern Illinois University and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois. I completed my student teaching at DePaul University. In 2003, I earned National Board Certification in Communication Arts.
After retiring from teaching in Illinois, I have been spending more time with my family, writing a childrens' book series, working at a public library and keeping a close eye on the Web!
