I do not consider myself much of a "foodie" but I was able to try amazing cuisine in the U.K. From English breakfast tea with a full traditional breakfast, to fish 'n chips with mushy peas, to Sunday roast, to bangers and mash, I was very full for three weeks. Not only did the study abroad program pay for three fancy dinners, but my professor also treated us to dinner a couple nights. I got to eat my favorite dessert, tiramisu, on three separate occasions and try macaroons for the first time. I fell in love with pub culture and tea time. While we were in Scotland I forced myself to try haggis, even though I knew I probably would not like it. (Spoiler: it's gross) Unfortunately, I did not bring back any food with me, but I will always treasure my dining experiences and look to incorporate them into my diet back in the states.
