Edinburgh

Scotland is my new favorite place on earth. We took a four-hour train ride across the British countryside to get there. And I would have been quite content to stay there for the rest of my life. It was like being in a Tolkien book or an ancient history. After a four-mile trek to the top of Arthur Seat, the skies became overcast and we could see for miles. The hike was the most peaceful I have ever been. The land was so rich--lush grass sprinkled with perky yellow flowers. The streets were bustling with tourists, but when you looked up, it was like going back in time--cobbled streets, ancient architecture, literal castles. It was a dream. Also, part of learning about Harry Potter was visiting where J.K. Rowling began writing the books. It's a pub in Edinburgh called The Elephant House. It overlooks a graveyard where she took a lot of inspiration for naming characters from the books like Moody, Tom Riddle, and more. We took a tour from the local college students and even dueled in front of Voldemort's grave. It was a dorky blast!
