Because this was a scriptwriting course, we watched many movies and discussed their structure. From The Lobster to Brooklyn to James Bond, I learned a great deal about movies that I had never thought about. I don't think I'll ever be able to look at movies the same. One day as we were meandering all over the city, as we did everyday, we happened to stumble upon a live movie shooting of the sequel to the movie "Kingsman." I just happened to love this movie, so I was ecstatic! Unfortunately, we missed Colin Firth and Taron Egerton by one day. They had to set the shots up before the actors would actually be on set. Though I was bummed to miss them, I took solace in the fact that I was in London at the same time as Colin Firth. A major tenet of the content of this trip was critiquing the Harry Potter films. After watching all eight movies, we got to visit the Warner Bros. Studio where they actually filmed most of the footage. It was amazing to see all the major movie props and sets. Though they have turned it into a profitable museum/tourist trap now, I got to enjoy the cool breeze outside the Dursley's home on Privet Drive with my butterbeer mustache. So I was one happy Hufflepuff!
