As a highly qualified teacher librarian I will facilitate a shift in instructional practice which will lead to deeper understanding of information literacy. I will provide students and colleagues with the information and technological skills needed for 21st century classroom and lifelong learning. I will integrate new and existing technologies using collaborative; project based learning, guided inquiry, and best practice of educational theory as I work in tandem with classroom teachers, students, families and community organizations. I will embed the Stripling Model of Inquiry in lessons and activities, to promote active learning and the formation of new understanding. 

I anticipate initial certification as a library media specialist in the fall of 2017! I can hardly wait to get started!!
