This link will take you to to a flyer which was created to promote an event which I assisted to organize in promotion of The National Week of the Young Child April 10-16, 2011.
Students will use oral and written language that follows the accepted conventions of the English language for effective social communi-cation with a wide variety of people. As readers and listeners, they will use the social communications of others to enrich their understanding of people and their views.
1. This media project Googl Apps was created and designed by Darcy Barber in collaboration with the Director, Lead Teachers, and Assistant Teachers of Cayuga Community College Preschool.
1A. The mayoral proclamation was initiated by Darcy Barber acting as Communication Committee Chairperson of the Syracuse Association for the Education of Children. A letter was written by Darcy Barber requesting the Mayors of Syracuse and Auburn to issue a proclamation of the National Week of the Young Child, April 10-16, 2011.
1B. The event flyer was created in collaboration with Sue Goodell of Child Care Solutions CNY to promote the kick off event of the Week of the Young Child 2011. Darcy and Sue worked closely for many weeks with multiple organizations putting this event together.

4. Objectives vary depending on the media project.
5. Children can utilize these media tools to communicate, expand their knowledge, and publish their work for others to view.
