Teaching Philosophy

My Teaching Philosophy is an artifact which correlates with ACEI Standard 1 in that it demonstrates and supports my knowledge and understanding of some of the major theories related to child development. This artifact demonstrates how I will support individual students’ development, acquisition of knowledge, and motivation within my classroom. I chose this artifact because it is highly reflective of who I am as an educator. Within this artifact I reflect upon aspects of pedagogy which were not present in my former Teaching Philosophy because I had yet to be exposed to classics such as Dewey and the history of his theories.  As I continue to grow as an educator I am glad to have artifacts such as this to reflect upon and continue to develop.
