Taller de José was interested in collecting narratives from the individuals they serve to learn more about their experiences. The main research questions are 1) their migration story and 2) their "stay" story. The community research fellows worked collaboratively with the organization to set appointments and collect these narratives from clients, utilizing an interview protocol. However, before beginning the interviews, considering that the fellows were collecting very personal information like the clients' names, photo images, and stories, the role of confidentiality structured the relationships between the researchers and the clients. The clients were required to fill out a release form in order to give the fellows permission to disclose any information that was given. The interviews were conducted in Spanish and then transcribed. After the transcription, the narratives were then translated into English in order to compose both Spanish and English narratives.
