Textbook:  Jesus Christ,  God's Love Made Visible----Pages 85--99

  1. Using the guide below, take notes on the response side of your notebook in preparation for class discussion.
  2. Include vocabulary:   1.  Original Sin,2.  personal sin, 3. Beatific Vision,4.   Incarnation.

1.  Write an explanation regarding the title of Section 3  on page 85 (written in bold letters).

2.  Read about Incarnation.  Find at least two different sentences to write as definitions for the word.  In other words each sentence could be used individualy to define the word. 

3.  What is the difference between the eternal Son of God and the historical Jesus?  Explain this difficult concept.

4.  Summarize Mary's role in the Incarnation?  What do you think:  Could Mary have said no the Gabriel when the angel came to tell her God's plan for her to be the Son of God? 
                      Why would having this choice be important?

5.  How does Jesus Son of God) share in our humanity?  How do we share in Christ's (Son of God) Divinity Divinity? 

6.  Identify one more important lesson from your reading.
