Course calendar

This website is your lifeline in this class. You can check to see what's coming up, what you miss if you are absent, and when assignments and projects are due.
To use this website successfully you will need to know the correct month and the date you are looking for.
Please click on the correct month under calendar to find out what we have been doing, what we are doing, and what is coming up.
It will also tell you what is due and when.
I expect you to use the website to stay up to date. I update it on an ongoing basis.
Please don't come to class asking me what we are doing or what you missed. check for it here.

Students in this course are required to have these items with them EVERY DAY:
your current packet and assignments
a 1" 3 ring binder,
college ruled loose-leaf paper,
a set of colored pencils,
a pen or pencil to work with,
a flash drive (USB, thumb or jump drive) for computer work
and an inexpensive set of earbuds or earphones.
These are items are necessary for class in order to be prepared and ready to participate.

This course follows the Utah State Office of Education Core Standards for 7th Grade Integrated Science

Our main areas of focus are:

STANDARD I:  Students will understand the structure of matter.

STANDARD II:  Students will understand the relationship between properties of matter and Earth’s structure.

STANDARD III:  Students will understand that the organs in an organism are made of cells that have structures and perform specific life functions.

STANDARD IV:  Students will understand that offspring inherit traits that make them more or less suitable to survive in the environment.

STANDARD V:  Students will understand that structure is used to develop classification systems.
