Hey Everyone,

Welcome to our class!
I'm Mrs. Bates! I grew up in Idaho and moved to Utah in 1974.
I'm married to the greatest guy and we have 6 wonderful children and 8 amazing grandchildren.
I love traveling and I hope to see the whole world a little bit at a time.
I also love roses and am known as The Rose Lady in my neighborhood.
and I love Shetland Sheepdogs - I've had Shelties since 1985 - we currently have three Shelties, two of which are showdogs-
in that crowd I am known as The Sheltielady.

Before coming to Alpine I taught Science in Nebo School District in Spanish Fork.
I've been teaching Science at American Fork Jr High School since 1995.
I LOVE SCIENCE! It's the greatest! Science is Cool, Fun, Exciting, Amazing, and a host of other incredible adjectives.
I also Love teenagers - yes, I know, that's a little bit crazy, but somebody's gotta do it right?

My goal is to help you become as excited about Science as I am! (and it wouldn't hurt if you learn a bit in the process)
I love teaching science. It is my favorite subject!!
I hope you enjoy our class together!
