Being a supportive teacher includes a myriad of characteristics and efforts.  One of the most important aspects of supportive teaching is to be in good communication with parents.  The attachment below is a hypothetical newsletter to parents of a new class. The purpose of this newsletter is not only to welcome parents and students to my classroom, but also to inform them of my management style and expectations of students.
