White Teacher: Critical Analysis

In our class we read the book White Teacher by Vivian Paley.  She tells her story of teaching after the Civil Rights Movement and openly shares her experiences and mistakes in the process to overcome her ethnocentricism and stereotypes.  Vivian Paley is brutally honest in her inspirational story that would motivate any teacher to step back, reflect, and improve.
