Take your classroom under the sea using technology through this Time to Scuba WebQuest.  While completing this WebQuest, students will not only use the internet research scuba diving and sharks, but also use Paint to display the knowledge they gained.  This WebQuest can be used for third or fourth graders while studying the ocean to gain further knowledge of life under the sea.

It is almost time to begin our adventure, but first we need to find the right scuba gear.  It is your job to figure out what equipment you need to buy in order to scuba with Stanley.  Once you have the gear you need, it is time to go deep under the sea to Stanley’s favorite scuba spot… the shark habitat.   This can be really dangerous, so take a partner with you on your exploration.  You and your partner need to find three different sharks and study their living environments.   http://www.ncf.carleton.ca/~bz050/HomePage.gws2.gif

• First:        

Go online to find at least six pieces of scuba gear that you and your partner will need in order to go scuba diving with Stanley.  Use this website to find what scuba gear you will need:

• Second:    

Pretend that you and your partner are scuba diving online, and find three sharks to research.  Explore and discover each shark’s under water habitat and record your results.  Use this website to research sharks:

Work with your partner to draw a picture of your deep sea adventure in Paint.  Your picture must include both you and your partner in the scuba gear you researched and the three different sharks that you saw during your adventure.  Make sure to show the shark habitat's in your picture.

• Fourth:    

Fill out the self-evaluation that your teacher has given you.
