Teacher's Classroom Webpage
Rationale:
| Context: The artifact consists of a classroom web page which was created by me during the Fall semester at ASU for my CI 3750 class under the instruction of Mary Rogers. The web page is to be used by my future students and their parents. The web site is easily navigated by both parents and students. Parents and students alike, can visit this web site to get current information on homework help, school closings, links of school interest, and classroom assignments. This web page consists of many different pages for students and parents to navigate through. The tabs at the top of the welcome page help both parents and students to easily navigate throughout the classroom web page. Impact: I feel that this experience in technology will help me a great deal as a future teacher. TaskStream has been a wonderful tool in helping me design my own classroom web page. The web page will help me to communicate with parents and students the information they may need throughout the school year.
Alignment: NETS-TII-B: I met this standard by providing a web page to my future students and parents. I developed this web page through the use of TaskStream. I learned several new technological skills that I implemented on the web page. I researched each web site link before applying it to the web page. NETS-TII-C: I met this standard by evaluating each web site that was linked to the pages. I also researched the effects of media on children through many different web sites, articles, and newspapers. NETS-TII-E: I met this indicator through the homework page. This is a helpful page to students and parents for information on classroom assignments and links to homework assistance in Math, Reading, etc. NETS-TIV-B- I met indicator by having students fill out a survey about how much television they are watching and how it effects their self-esteem. I compared the results with various types of research such as: the internet, magazines, articles, etc. |
