Indicator 5:  I met this indicator by planning an appropriate unit specific to first graders.

Indicator 6:  I met this indicator by developing a lesson that helps students understand the importance of description words while using language personally, as well as socially.

Indicator 8:  I met this indicator by explaining to students the importance of using grammar correctly and correcting those who have trouble with their grammar.

Standard 2:  Elementary teachers have a broad knowledge and understanding of the major concepts in mathematics.

Indicator 3:  I met this standard by developing a lesson that shows students how to make and use patterns.  Students were responsible also for describing their patterns and sequences.  Students also developed graphs to record their data.
