Video Rationale
Context: The group that I worked with on the Video Project in CI-3750 consisted of myself, Lila Downs , Casey Proctor, and Danielle Wright. The video will be used with my future classroom. We created the video using a digital camera. We used several different clips of video on this project. We uploaded and edited the video clips with the use of IMovie.
Impact: The movie will be beneficial to my students in showing them how books can come alive through the use of IMovie. The experience was also beneficial to myself in showing me how to use IMovie. I was able to learn how to download, edit, and add different effects to our movie. I will be able to provide adequate IMovie training to my future students for the use of making their own movies.

-NETS-T 1-B: The standard was met by the training and experience that I received using IMovie. I learned many different technological skills. I discovered how to take different clips and combine them together to make a movie. The movie we made was from the book The True Story of Three Little Pigs by Jon Stieszka. I also learned how to edit unwanted parts. Through the use of IMovie, I was able to add different effects to the video. The effects that I used were music, credit templates, sound bytes, and an opening template.
-NETS-II-D: The standard was met by several technological resources. The group checked out one of the cannon cameras from the media lab. We downloaded and edited our video through one of the Mac computers located in the lab. Our group used IMovie and Quicktime to upload and edit the video. We also assigned different tasks for each group member during the filming and making of the video.
-NETS-TVI-B: The standard was met by applying what we learned to make a movie ourselves. We discovered many new things while making the IMovie. We had no prior experience in making a video. Each group member was able to provide some type of input in some way. We were able to learn how to shoot a video, download it, edit, and upload it through IMovie and Quicktime. This movie can be watched by our future classrooms to help them further understand text. We also will be able to provide our students with a variety of training in making their own IMovie.
