Through the implementation of numerous lessons this semester, I am able to actively encourage student development and learning. By teaching lessons in a sequence and completing tasks for my CLE journals (last semester), I have learned how to create a positive classroom environment as well as how to encourage student learning. With increased planning and instruction, I was able to follow through with more assessment strategies as well as effectively manage student behavior and classroom procedures. Also, I have been able to use more non-verbal cues to monitor and control student behavior as I began taking on a more prominent role in the classroom. These things will develop even more as I begin my professional teaching career.
