The Creative Music Project, Inc. stemmed from a workshop Priscilla helped organize during the time she was CMENC President at FIU. One of her peers, who is from Grand Cayman, approached her with the idea to host a free music workshop to students to explore the creative aspects of music like composition, songwriting, technology, and culture. At the same time they would hold a parallel worshop for the music teachers on the island with the advisors at the time, Dr. Kathleen Kerstetter and Dr. Catherine Rand. The workshop was a success. They decided to continue this the following summer and eventually go to different countries to host the workshop every summer. This led to the Creative Music Project, Inc.
