Activity Details

In one 30 minute Mathematics class, 5th graders will demonstrate their knowlege of measuring angles [obtained through yesterday's worksheets measuring angles with protractors] by playing fun interactive online games to help [PBS Cyberchase character] Digit find planets with his telescope by telling it what angle to point at. [They help Digit fill up his Cyberscrapbook, too.] A second online interactive game for those who whiz through this one enables students to apply their knowledge of angle measurement by destroying UFOs by changing the attack angle from their laser turret.

Links:
  1. Star Gazing with CyberChase's Digit Help Digit fill his Cyberscrapbook, the player needs to point a telescope at the right angle to line up with the planets.
  2. UFO Alien Attack Destroy the UFO by changing the attack angle of your laser turret.
