A Better Plan

This paper will summarize and critique the emergency/crisis plan in use at Fulmore Middle School in the Austin Independent School District. The paper will gauge the success of the plan. The paper will also outline how to assess the success of the crisis plan before a crisis occurs. It will show whether the implemented plan is timely and modified for the potential crisis’ of the 21st century and what action can be taken to modify the plan if it is not timely, as well as what implementations can be made to enact any necessary changes to the plan.

AZ- Arizona Professional Administrative Standards
Standard 4: The administrator effectively manages services, programs, operations, and resources. The performance assessment shall measure the extent to which the administrator:
Performance Indicator 12: Identifies the potential legal issues affecting school personnel selection, development, supervision, retention, and dismissal;
Performance Indicator 16: Promotes a safe and effective learning environment; and

This paper will deconstruct and reconstruct the evaluation process. It will examine how administrators are evaluated and how teachers are evaluated. It will then compare and contrast the two procedures examining the pros and cons of each method. It will examine whether changes need to be made to the systems, and if so, what they should be. The paper will also outline the ethical implications of the evaluation procedure and what the potential problems of evaluation could be.
