Reflection 2 - Upcoming Decisions

My learning artifact to supplement my second reflection is a TedTalk titled "How to Make Choosing Easier". I really enjoyed this Ted Talk because it applies to how I am feeling right now. I currently have a lot on my mind. I am overwhelmed by the number of PT schools there are and how to choose which ones to apply to. I am also overwhelmed deciding exactly how to spend my gap year. Sheena addresses both the positive and negative consequences that accompany the growing number of choices we are presented with. It often leads to procrastination because it takes a lot of time and effort to thoughtfully compare and contrast each option presented. She then discusses different techniques on how to overcome our anxiety about big decisions. These techniques include simply cutting options and not being afraid to narrow down our choices, categorizing our options, and finally to make smaller choices in increasing complexity to simplify the overall big decision you must make.
