Context: I created this lesson plan in CI 3750 an integrating media and technology into teaching class under the Professor Jeff Good man in September of 2005.

Impact: This wll help me teach skills on using the computer in the classroom and incorporating other curriculums in with it. This lesson incorporates Language Arts by the use of thinking up and writing a story and putting pictures into a sequence based on the sotry a child comes up with.

Alignment: 

• NETS-T II-A  This lesson plan includes modifications for different levels of learners. 
• NETS-T  IV-A  I used these techniques of technology to assess the students. I checked the writing skills of each child by checking grammer, the use of technology by assessing computer skills and the concept of sequencing by checking logical order of pictures. I did all this by using a a Grading Rubric made just for this assignment using the Rubric Wizard on Taskstream.
• NETS-T IV-C To evaluate the students I used a grading rubric created online, to further evaluate the students use of technology I watched as they sequenced the pictures and found microsoft word to type their created strories and then they were to email me the typed stories that went along witht he story pictures.
• NETS-T V-B After students do this lesson the classroom I will be adding a reflection that I wrote to my teacher page to share with others the impact that I believe it has on the students who did the lesson.
• NETS-T VI-D This lesson promotes health and safety by reminding students to take a break and stretch every 20 minutes while using the computer. This reminder is on the Teacher Page.
• NETS-T VI-E This lesson facilitates equal access to technology resources to all students by having an allotted time period of computer use for all students. This is on the Teacher Page as well.

Context: This reflection was completed after teaching the lesson Story Pictures during my internship. My professor for this course is Dr. Goodman and the class is CI3750.

Impact: This will help me in teaching by reflecting on th process of learning and the use of technology in the classroom. It also helps me to evaluate students work and learn from it. I can see where they need help and what I can do to help them.

Alignment:

NETS  V  B -   This assigment was very helpful. Reflection on any assignment makes you really think about what went well and what needed help. I would have loved to done this assignment in the media center on computers, but in this school time and space for computer use is limited. So I printed out the picturess for all the students and had them write. Either way I really took alot from the assignment and was able to use technology to prepare the assignment for the class.
