6th Grade Research Writing Unit for Language Arts

1. Students learn best in an cooperative learning environment in which they are given the chance to work with, and provide support to, others.

2. Students need time to work through the writing process, and should not be expected to complete a well-done research paper in a short unit.

3. Students should be working directly, on a regular basis, with the content that they will be assessed on in the pre and post tests.
