I got involved with the Loyola Italian Club my Freshman Year here. After a falling out and a lack of group involvement, a change in leadership took place and Italian Club was back on campus. My sophomore year was the beginning of the real fun. After changing the leadership and creating a new hierarchy of officials, we increased membership and expanded the presence on campus. That year we hosted the Gala Di SanValentino, an evening of dinner and dancing at the Drake Hotel in Downtown Chicago. The event sold out of the 500 tickets in a matter of days. This event was the most successful event for Italian Club and put it back on the campus radar. My junior year I became the Social Chair for the Italian Club. This involved me coordinating events and participating in the weekly Officer meeting, where we made decisions on budget, events, philanthropy, and spreading Italian culture to campus.
