Volunteer service has always been a part of me, and no organization makes a better impact on the community than Habitat for Humanity. I volunteered with Habitat for Humanity all throughout high school and even into college. During my high school career I went on two different build trips to Ohio and Iowa. Both trips were amazing experiences where I learned the many skills needed to build a house. I have never had such an experience before, especially when the family came to meet us and thanks us in person. Seeing the gratitude on their faces and hearing the appreciation that they had for us was incredible. I have never felt like that before, and it is the reason I continue to volunteer and help those in need.
