One example of collaborative lessons is the partnership between my classes and the Child Growth and Development/Parenting classes taught by another instructor.  The Child Development class is available to 10th, 11th and 12th grade students, but consists mainly of 10th graders.  Teacher Cadet and Early Childhood Career classes are open to 11th and 12th graders.  We have observation assignments for the Child Development students to complete in the Teacher Cadet and Early Childhood classes.  This is not only a learning experience, but also a recruitment tool.  When the younger students experience the classroom, they often decide to take the class the following year.
