Indicator 7b

7b. The program maintains an atmosphere of mutual respect and high expectations for all learners.

Artifact 48 - example of performance criteria or rubric for project or unit

Rubrics are included on assignments for major projects and portfolio entries.  Three examples are attached:

  • All About Me PowerPoint
  • Public Service Announcement
  • Realizing My Powers Essay.

Artifact 49 - evidence of extra help offered before/after/during school

Teacher availability is stated in the course syllabus - highlighted in yellow on the attached document.

Teacher Available:    Mornings from 6:45-7:13 am; planning period is first block every day; Major Time; after school from 2:05-3:00 pm Monday-Thursday; other times by appointment.

Artifact 50 - homework policy (program or school)

The homework policy is stated in the course syllabus - highlighted in yellow on the attached document.

Homework Policy:    Assignments not completed in class are due at the beginning of the next class period for full credit.  Homework is given most days.  Projects usually take 30 minutes.  Portfolio assignments take 60 minutes.  Journals during the internships take 10 minutes.
