Me

Hello, my name is Breanna Carman and I am currently a junior at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. I am a Psychology major with a Sociology minor. I am originally from the small town of Imperial in southwest Nebraska where I attended Chase County Schools. I was involved in many extra-curricular activities including Girl Scouts, where I earned my Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards. While attending high school, I extended my extra-curricular activities and leadership roles. I held various officer positions in FFA as well as FBLA, was captain of the Dance Team, a member of the Show Choir as well as an active member in the Catholic Youth Organization and DAN (Dialogues Across Nebraska). I was also in the National Honor Society. From here I chose to attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney because of the strong Psychology program, great undergraduate research opportunities, and small professor-to-student ratio. While at UNK, I have kept busy by being actively involved in the Psychology Club as President. In addition to that, I will begin working part-time as the Human Subjects Coordinator for the Psychology Department this fall. Although I'm still deciding which path I want to take in the Psychology program, I hope to attend graduate school upon graduating.
