Black Bat skaters are demonstrating exciting growth in skills and confidence on the ice. We are having a lot of fun skating around with friends. For some of us- skating now without needing support aids, and also giving hockey a try has been inspiring indeed! Those of us who are more regular skaters are becoming stronger and building on our skills. Thank you parent helpers for all your support! Next week will be our final ice skating O.E. class.

Our first day of the winter sports ice skating sessions! Students made real progress! I witnessed big boosts in confidence in our beginning skaters, and those students who have had more ice time built on their skating foundation. Thank you very much parent helpers!

Nearly a foot of light fresh snow on campus! A great morning to give snow shoeing a try! We began by examining our snowshoes. What are all these straps for? How do we put them on?? Once each student had a pair secured, off we went to discover how to move in the snow. What a focus on balance and coordination! The active Bats packed in creative paths, made personal tracks in the powder, and sprinted along in snow shoe races!
