Bat artists explored the possibilities of the primary colors today. Each student mixed combinations of primary colors to achieve the secondary colors. Ask your child which primary combination colors are mixed resulting in the secondary colors!
A review of the primary colors in art, and students worked to complete pattern design using embroidery floss wrapped around cardboard tubes to create interesting bracelets.
Welcome back to art Black Bats! Today we began learning about the art element ‘color’. We talked about how when we mix certain colors together, the results are different colors- and how the 3 primary colors of red, yellow, and blue can be combined to mix all the other colors. Students drew pictures of spring break experiences using only the primary colors. Then we started creating primary color bracelets wrapping red, yellow, and blue embroidery floss around this cardboard bracelet tubes. Next we will explore creating color combinations by mixing primary colors in paint.
