For our last week of Spanish, los murcielagos negros did a wonderful job wrapping up by reviewing this year through song, games, and stories. It has been great to watch them grow and improve in their Spanish vocabulary and abilities. I think all will do well in Spanish if they try to sing and continue to learn through the summer. Happy verano!

This week, the Murcielagos Negros have enjoyed acting out Spanglish versions of Aesop’s fables, playing our hide-the-turtle game in Spanish, and remembering their songs from the year before Spanish class ends till next school year! Over the summer, I hope you all find ways to keep up your Spanish whether it’s through games, videos, cultural outings, or travels. Let’s have a great final week next week!

Do we know all we’ve learned this year? Si si si! I’ve been so impressed by the Murcielagos Negros as we’ve played games this week so they can demonstrate their knowledge to me. Telefono, migración, flyswatter, and Simon Dice were all games that the Murcielagos Negros were able to play with ease and agility. We have also reviewed our songs and will be playing more in the coming weeks to flex our Spanish muscles one last time before summer begins. Keep it up!

We sing!

This week, los murcielagos negros worked hard to review their songs from the year. Their progress and retention are tangible and I am excited to report how they do on assessments in the next couple weeks before Spanish Enrichment classes end for the year. We also started reading fables in Spanish and English, which have been great learning and acting experiences for everyone!

This week, we finished our healthy eating flip books. These are really useful resources for us to have in our classroom. We worked very carefully to write neatly in both english and spanish and illustrate appropriately.
