On Tuesday, we made our final preparations for our feast at Harvest Fest. In the afternoon, Emily came to our classroom equipped with bunches of kale, olive oil, salt, sunflower seeds, and garlic. you got it! Pesto was the name of our game. It will be the sauce to accompany our already prepared homemade potato gnocci. We enjoyed ripping kale leaves from the stem, chopping garlic, and adding all the ingredients to the food processor. Of course seeing the large, curved blade was an attraction!

On Wednesday afternoon, the sun felt so nice, we headed to the garden with Emily to collect seeds before they are blanketed in white and go to sleep for the winter. We collected, gathered and sorted our findings. We look forward to an interactive art project in two weeks involving our seed findings!
