Sorayah shares her sketches and labeling from their visit to the marsh

While WR in this classroom certainly follows a routine that is predictable to the students, we also take advantage of spontaneous opportunities to use writing for a very organic and authentic purpose. As you know, this Monday we visited the marsh and saw many things. That same day, we sketched animals, bugs, and birds that we saw. The kids were very excited and motivated to draw and then label what it was that they had seen. Aftwerward, we were able to share with our peers.
