Classroom Newsletter and Chill Out Form

newsletter.jpg One of the most powerful classroom management tools I will use as a teacher, will be parental communication. Through constant communication with the parents of my students, I will have the advantage of parental support when it comes to discipline in my classroom. In addition to communicating via e-mail, telephone, and personal conferences, I plan to send home a monthly newsletter that details my class' progress throughout the year. Also included in the newsletters will be spelling words, assignments, memos, and bulletins among other news. The following link will take you to a sample newsletter I created for the first week of school. In this issue, I included my classroom rules and a list of pertaining consequences. After the newsletter link, there is a link that will take you to the "Chill Out form" I talk about in my newsletter.
