Reflection

I have been a cheerleading coach as long as I've been a teacher.  I couldn't create a portfolio and not include something about this.  It is a job that I love.  I was a cheerleader in high school and named Most Spirited in my class.  I enjoy coaching and helping to promote school spirit.  We've gone to 4 competitions in the three years I've coached varsity.  It is a very rewarding part of teaching.

I feel it is important for teacher's to be involved in the extra-curricular life at school.  I have coached cheerleading & softball, been a class advisor, student council advisor, and MCAS tutor.  I try to be very involved in the life of the school.

The picture of the National Honor Society is from the induction ceremony for this year.  When a student at Greenfield High School is selected to be in the N.H.S., they choose a teacher to escort them to the ceremony and give them their pin.  I was honored this year by the three students in the photo.  This was my third year helping to celebrate this special night with students.  I always enjoy this night and this year was extra special for me to be able to escort three students.
