New Student Taskstream Welcome Email

Greetings new GSEHD degree seeking students,

Welcome to the Graduate School of Education and Human Development (GSEHD).   As a degree student there are many resources to support your success.  One of those you will be required to utilize during your study is a web-based data collection system, Taskstream.  Courses in your program of study contain assignments/assessments aligned with national accreditation and standards. As a student you will be required to upload/submit specific assignments to your Taskstream DRF (Directed Response Folio). These assessments will then be evaluated and stored within your specific subscription account.

At matriculation, students receive a Taskstream site license account.  Accounts can be personally retained by students directly with Taskstream if they choose, as this web-based system has many benefits and is useful for housing not only your academic but professional records. The Office of Professional Preparation and Accreditation (OPPA), as an arm of the Deans Office, lead the facilitation of student document upload and utilization of the Taskstream assessment system and for all users within GSEHD.  Please call on Ellen Wanjiru, Taskstream Administrator of the OPPA-Division of Data Systems and Assessments (DDSA) should you require their assistance.  Click here for contact information.

As a degree seeking student you will access Taskstream by logging on via Gweb Single Sign-on. Taskstream will appear as a link on your student menu during your first term of coursework or study in your program.

There are two attachments that accompany this email which will facilitate your entry into and usage of Taskstream. First is the student PowerPoint instructional guide (to be viewed as a slideshow) with step-by-step directions on how to upload and submit instructor identified work for evaluation. The second is the digital repository instructional guide that provides information on how to use Taskstream as a virtual storage for your course work and projects.

If you require additional assistance, the GSEHD Taskstream Student Support website can be accessed by clicking here. The support website provides Taskstream training materials (i.e. animated PowerPoint slideshows, recordings of WebEx training sessions, instructional manuals) and program specific resources.

If you require individual training or support, please email us at oppats@gwu.edu or submit an online service request form by clicking here.

Sincerely,

Office of Professional Preparation and Accreditation (OPPA)
