School Counseling Beliefs

1) We believe every student should achieve to the best of their ability and that all students can achieve given resources and proper support.

2) We believe there are differences in learning styles for students and as professional school counselors we should account for those differences when preparing and presenting curriculum.

3) We believe that students should have equal access to academic, career and personal development services.  The professional school counselors have the expertise to provide these services.

4) We believe professional school counselors should advocate for students as well as the profession.

School Counseling Goals

1. Address the Personal, Educational and Career concerns of students.

2. Assist students in creating post-secondary plans and reviewing personal plans of study annually.
