Service has always been a significant aspect of my life. My Jesuit founding has stressed the importance of Cura Personalis - a Latin phrase meaning, "care for the person." It is a hallmark of Ignatian spirituality and central to the Jesuit philosophy. It stems from respect for the dignity of human beings as unique creations of God and for "God's embracing of humanity in the person of Jesus.
Cura Personalis goes hand and hand with the concept of being a “man for others”. We have a moral obligation to uphold as human beings and knowing how influential our simple actions can be makes the work worthwhile. Serving the community allows us to become aware of our global connectedness and interdependence.
