First semester of 8th Grade Social Studies begins with the Revolutionary War and the U.S. Constitution. Second semester begins with WWII and continues through the remaining of 20th century. 

In order for students to have a good background of the Revolutionary War we are studying life in the American Colonies, the problems between France and Great Britain and how it affected the colonists. Students will also study how the rifts between the colonists and the British crown grew after the French Indian War, especially taxation without representation.
