Mrs. Gershweir is an 18 year veteran teacher with her entire teaching career at Alice Vail Middle School.  She has taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Social Studies.  In addtion to teaching Social Studies she has taught P.E., Reading, and Math. She also has chaired the Social Studies department at Vail Middle School.

Mrs. Gershweir graduated from the University of Arizona in 1983.  She returned to the University of Arizona and in 1993 earned a Post Baccalaureate degree in Education.  Mrs. Gershweir is a certified teacher in the state of Arizona and she is highly qualified to teach Social Studies.  Currently Mrs. Gershweir has a provisional GATE endorsement from the Arizona Department of Education.
