Decade Daze 2011

Discovering American lifestye during the 20th century

Decade Daze: 1950s-1990s.  Students explore the 20th century through research and creativity.  Students will select a decade and work on three tasks, an individual project, a group time line, and a group performance. The overarching questions include but are not limited to: How has history changed or stayed the same throughout the decades?  How can you better understand history through your experience with research? What is your view on the culture of your decade?

The attached document is the handout students will receive upon introduction to the unit on Tuesday April 26, 2011.  This will be used as a guide and it will be explained in class with further details by the teachers.  It is suggested that all students come to class and be prepared to take notes and to ask clarifying questions.
