Philosophy of Education

World People (Lg.)

There is nothing more significant than teaching and molding the minds of the future into educated and responsible life learners. Being a life learner myself, I enjoy the many challenges that come with teaching because each challenge becomes a personal learning experience. My students will advance and be prepared to take the next step in life through my philosophy of education.

I believe that education itself is an opportunity for everyone to learn regardless of learning style, skill level, and ability. I will always respect and support each individual student and their needs, but also believe in building skills through teamwork. I believe that education provides the opportunity for me to teach the appropriate subject material and life skills that are needed to build a successful individual who will contribute to the effectiveness of our communities.

I believe that education involves learning in a safe, encouraging, positive, and age appropriate environment. I will make sure that the students are enjoying valuable lessons learned in my classroom using tools that they understand. I will get to know my students on a personal level and will creatively find ways they can relate to the material. I will always stay up-to-date on current teaching strategies and ideas through collaboration with other professionals and continuing my education in this world of constant change, which requires adaptation. Preparing my class for the future is always the priority in my classroom. Education involves learning at a pace that provides smooth transitions to the next level of learning. Education requires learning independently and in a team setting in my classroom. I will set high expectations and help students reach personal goals as well as team goals in a nurturing manner. Students will learn to reach their maximum potential by setting their own standards for the future through reflection of their own experiences. I will coach, encourage, support, and challenge my students to surpass all expectations and instill these qualities as a life lesson.

I believe that education results in becoming a life long learner, thinker, and achiever. Education results in applying all learned subject material and learned positive behavior qualities to apply to their future. I will guide students to take steps in their lives helping them feel prepared and ready. Students will know how to reflect on experiences and make appropriate changes to create positive environments, set personal expectations, and reach goals independently, as well as in team settings.

In conclusion, becoming a teacher has been a goal and passion of mine for a very long time. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing I made an impact on a life and did everything in my power to help a student not only learn subject material, but also learn life lessons and grow into intelligent citizens. It is rewarding to be a positive influence and role model for a child and to help them learn responsibility and positive morals. I am glad there are many different ways to stay current in the field and stay challenged in every dynamic of this profession. I am enthusiastic about teaching, craving the challenge, and awaiting the accomplishment.
